Day 33: Unfortunate Failure

In my weekly programming competition today, I managed to only solve two of the six problems because I wasted an hour mixing up subarrays and subsequences.

Day 32: Boring ELA

In ELA class, we had to read A Sound of Thunder , which I have already read.

Day 31: Dumb Electives Replacement

Electives were replaced by a dumb bouncy house, so our campaign in DnD was never finished.

Day 30: Neck Injury

I managed to strain my neck by falling out of a chair.

Day 29: May 27, 2025

And yet again, dummies Jamesons and Ollie were cutting again in Nine Square.

Day 28: Day 3 Of Memorial Day Baseball Tournament

Unfortunately, we didn't win the championship. I also didn't have anything special at all for Memorial Day.

Day 27: Day 2 Of Memorial Day Baseball Tournament

We only had one game today. I didn't even get to hit because we mercy ruled the team too fast.

Day 26: Day 1 Of Memorial Day Baseball Tournament

For lunch, my dad barbecued meat, but he ruined it by putting too much sauce and burning it. My two baseball games were at night, and because of traffic, I only went to sleep at midnight.

Day 25: Bullies

During lunch, I got bullied by Jameson and Calvin. That was not expected, because they are naturally toxic. I reported them to Robin, but as expected, she didn't do anything.

Day 24: Kids Are Stupid

People keep cutting in nine square.

On Modern Americans

Bad Grammar Cussing Idiocy Ignorance

On Modern Americans: Ignorance

Contrary to popular belief, idiocy  is not the same as ignorance. Idiocy is the inability to reason, and ignorance is the lack of knowledge. 15% of American teens don't know that the Declaration of Independence of adopted on July 4, 1776. The funny thing about this is that these are native-born Americans. This is because immigrants would have to study all about the government to pass the test, but natives can just be ignorant and still be fine. 35% of Americans don't know that there are 9 justices on the Supreme Court. This has the same reason as the last problem. 75% of children aged 6 to 12 years cannot read clocks. This article says "Don't worry—you're not alone." Even though this is true, it is still worrying matter, even though the article tells you not to worry, because reading a clock is a very simple thing that a lot of kids learn in first and second grade. They somehow forget that skill, or their worksheets are completed by their parents. 75% of A...

Day 23: A Rather Headache-Causing Elective

Braden had to leave early today, so we were unable to do something cool  during lunch. Electives sucked because Chloe wasted half of our time saying nonsense and screaming.

Day 23: Baseball Game vs The Seals

School was uneventful. We had a baseball game tonight, but we lost 6 to 12. I only got to bat once.

Day 22: May 19, 2025

We shared our presentations in science today. In my opinion, Michael and I had the best slides. Cody kept bragging that he had the best, but it was actually extremely cringe.

Day 21: May 18, 2025

Remember last week when I wanted to watch Mission Impossible – Ghost Protocol? I tried to finish it today, but the stupid TV broke and kept having network errors.

Day 20: Baseball Game vs The Mets

I had a baseball game today. It was pretty boring, and we ended up winning 1 to 0. I made one and only one play: the last play of the game. Ongoing Challenges: My head constantly hurts. I'm going to start sleeping again.

Day 19: May 16, 2025

Sorry for the late post. Today, I realized that I got scammed yesterday. Yesterday, Mrs. Fernald was selling Dippin' Dots for $4. Today, she sold them for $1. Ongoing Challenges I slept for an hour after sunrise today. I also fell asleep on the swings during PE class. I have decided to modify the rule so that I can sleep during the day, but not during the night.

Day 18: May 15, 2025

We didn't have any food at home, so we went to the school event to get dinner. The food truck was so overrated. My chalk drawing didn't win even though we were the only group who actually did something related to the theme. Ongoing Challenges: I have not slept for three nights in a row. My cough is getting worse.

Day 17: Eye Doctor Appointment

Today, I had an eye doctor's appointment and had to leave school early. That meant that I would miss DnD elective for the third time in a row. Ongoing Challenges: Igor let me sleep in math class. I almost fell asleep during history class. I also almost fell asleep on the toilet.

Day 16: May 13, 2025

Nothing too bad happened today. Ongoing Challenges: I felt a little sleepy, but I was fine.

Day 15: May 12, 2025

At school today, Chloe raged. We were playing Nine Square and as usual, Braden was spiking. Chloe then said, "Hey! If there are spikes, then there are codewords, too!" Codewords are just something Chloe invented to ruin the game. Little did she realize, technically, codewords were in use, Braden just did not choose to use them. She screamed so loudly when I broke the news to her, although her screaming was nothing compared to mine. Also, my mom forgot to get me hot lunch. Ongoing Challenges: Today is the first day of my No Sleep challenge.

No Sleep

As I am an insomniac, I think that sleeping at night is a waste of time. So starting from today, I will not sleep at night but only take microsleeps during the day. Let's see how long I can last. I will log how I feel at the end of every blog post. The challenge has ended on May 17, after 6 nights of not sleeping.

Day 14: Mother's Day

We went to a buffet today. It sucked because the lines were super long and grabbing food took at least 5 minutes. When we got home, my dad made me watch Gravity, which was trash. I went back to Ghost Protocol but I only got through the opening scene.

Kids Bop/Mini Pop Kids Is Trash

Image
Exhibit 1: Poker Face by Mini Pop Kids So here we have the Mini Pop Kids version of Poker Face. Here are some of the lyric changes. LoveGame intuition play the cards with spades to start turns into Luck and intuition play the cards with spades to start This is stupid. This song is supposed to be about love. I'll get him hot, show him what I got turns into I'll get his heart, show him what I got This makes it not even Lady Gaga's style any more. She's got me like nobody turns into She's got you like nobody WTF. This is a completely unnecessary edit that changed the song for the worse. The girl did not get me. P-p-p-poker face, f-f-f*** her face turns into P-p-p-poker face, p-p-poker face This one is sensible. 'Cause I′m bluffin' with my muffin turns into something that sounds like 'Cause I′m bluffin' with my chocolate This makes to sense. The boy in the background also can't hit any of the low notes. The girl fails to use Lady Gaga's uninteres...

Day 13: Baseball Game vs The Seals

The baseball game was pretty boring. I played second base for 3 innings, but Dane carried and they only had like 2 hits when I was on the field. After I got home, I played some War Robots with Ryland. We won 4 games together, but 8 games were needed to get the prize.

Day 12: Hawaiian Luau

Today, after school, there was a dance called the Hawaiian Luau. First, Mr. Warne had to reveal that I was his favorite student. In one of the raffle prizes, there were four chances to get a prize and half the tickets were mine, but I didn't win a single prize.

Day 11: May 8, 2025

First, Chloe ruined nine square by making it into scramble, which is a terrible game idea. Then, the girls cut a lot. Science class was really weird, because there was a woman from the Pregnancy Resource Center talking about human reproduction.

Celebrating 10 Days of My Blog!

From the title, you can see this is the tenth day of my blog. From now on, day entries will have their titles formatted as follows: Day <day number>: <entry title> No more of that, here's what happened today: Today, I shadowed at Bellarmine College Preparatory. There was a shaved ice truck when we got there, but neither my shadow buddy nor I didn't have money so I couldn't get one. Unfortunately, when my mom came to pick me up, the truck had already left. There was a test in one of the classes, so I had to sit and do nothing for an entire hour, which was pretty boring.

A Normal Tuesday

Spanish class is boring because I'm not learning anything new, State testing is terrible, and I still have a runny nose.

On Modern Americans: Idiocy

Modern Americans are not too smart. According to the World Population Review , the average IQ of Americans is below 100. Meanwhile, Asian countries that use chopsticks all have average IQs over 100. Even Canada has an average of 102 and Russia has an average of 103. Too much technology is one of the causes. Technology leads to social media. People will do anything to be popular on social media, including stupid things. Watching people doing stupid things make more people stupid. Also, technology leads to brainrot. Although brainrot does not physically rot your brain, it can damage your mental health. It turns out that there is a condition called Skibidi Toilet Syndrome , which is a real thing. So don't watch Skibidi Toilet.

First Monday After Mexico

I woke up at 2 AM in the morning with a headache and my entire body aching. After that, I couldn't fall asleep, so I only slept for 5 hours last night. At school, Braden broke my rubber band and hit me with it, leaving a mark on my cheek. In history class, we had standardized testing, but fortunately, it was light.

On Modern Americans: Cussing

Apparently, the average American says 80 to 90 cuss words per day . Most of the time, I get through a day without saying any (unless it is an especially bad day), making me not the average American.  I am opposed to cussing, and I only use those words in dire situations, like if my privacy or safety gets violated. In those situations, I say up to 20 in a minute.  I don't understand how some people just use them in everyday language, because those words are supposed to be used sparingly. Using them in everyday language defeats their purpose.

On Modern Americans: Bad Grammar

This will be the first post of a few posts explaining what I hate about modern people. Something that I dislike a lot is people who use incorrect grammar in their speech. One of the most common mistakes I hear is "me and someone did something." The correct way to say it is "someone and I did something," but apparently to other people, it doesn't sound right. I disagree. The second most common mistake I hear is people not using "an" when it is supposed to be used. I really don't understand why people make these mistakes because it's all simple grammar that we learn in elementary school.

Just A Normal Sunday

Today I had baseball practice. In Mexico, I breathed in a lot of dust, causing me to lose my voice. The baseball field just got new dirt, making it worse. In War Robots , I could've gotten something good, but because Ryland didn't join me, I was unable to get it. Today was not too bad.

I Hate Low Effort Jokes

From the title, you can see that I dislike low effort jokes, like puns. For example, look below: What do you call a transgender/nonbinary shrimp? by u/Your_Pal_Nebula in Jokes Prawnowns doesn't even sound close to pronouns, and you call everyone by their pronouns. And this one: How do bees go to school? by u/Any-Result-4211 in Jokes This one is even worse. Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there! by u/Walfredo_wya in Jokes This one isn't a pun but it is still bad. I really hope that people making posts put more effort into their content.

Santa Cruz County Math Contest Day

Right after getting home from Mexico, exhausted, I couldn't even sleep in! I had to get up in the morning to go to a math contest. It sucked because on the team contest, the last problem contradicted itself and a problem in the individual contest had no possible answer. Yafet wasn't there because he probably had a soccer game, so we had to be with a sixth grader. After getting home, I had to continue working on CP problems.

Negative Quotes

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my grandfather did; in his sleep. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car." ~ Jack Handy "A bad attitude is the best attitude." ~ Yafet "There are corpses on Mount Everest that were once highly motivated people." ~ Reddit "Mistakes don't help you grow if they kill you." ~ Ronchen "Just because you tried your best, doesn't mean it was good enough." ~ Reddit "Be an individual, work hard, study, get your mind straight, and trust nobody." ~ Tupac

Day 5 Of Mexico Trip

At the airport, I had to hold in a massive pee for over 10 minutes after drinking 2 bottles of water, a lemonade, a gatorade, and an orange juice. Then, I passed out for half an hour on the plane. In the car back from the airport, I had to sit in the back with Ann and Lillie, who were both relatively overweight , squeezing me a little bit . After a whole week of being away from screens, my mom didn't even let me hop on my iPad for a few minutes to continue my Duolingo streak. Then, she made me go to bed early at 7.

Day 4 Of Mexico Trip

Mr. Patterson snored really loudly last night. It would probably be considered snorting and not snoring. At 6:40 in the morning, we had a hike. Mrs. Reyes told us that it would be easy and only like half an hour. More like a full hour . During trash ministry we had to pick up a lot of sketchy trash, including 7 diapers, 2 bras, and a pair of panties. At one point I was up to my waist in trash from the head down. There was poop in one of the trash cans. Braden had a bucket of pee spilled on his leg. When we got back, Jeff played a mean joke on me and told me that the taqueria and bakery were both closed. That made me really pissed. The tacos weren't even that good. That night, during hide and seek, Ellery got lost and we thought she was passed out. That caused a lot of trouble.
