On Modern Americans: Ignorance
Contrary to popular belief, idiocy is not the same as ignorance. Idiocy is the inability to reason, and ignorance is the lack of knowledge.
15% of American teens don't know that the Declaration of Independence of adopted on July 4, 1776.
The funny thing about this is that these are native-born Americans. This is because immigrants would have to study all about the government to pass the test, but natives can just be ignorant and still be fine.
35% of Americans don't know that there are 9 justices on the Supreme Court.
This has the same reason as the last problem.
75% of children aged 6 to 12 years cannot read clocks.
This article says "Don't worry—you're not alone." Even though this is true, it is still worrying matter, even though the article tells you not to worry, because reading a clock is a very simple thing that a lot of kids learn in first and second grade. They somehow forget that skill, or their worksheets are completed by their parents.
75% of Americans don't know what tariffs are.
Something that shook the world's economy so much in 2025... and most people don't know about it (especially Americans).
95% of people can't recite over 10 digits of pi.
Wow. This is surprising. I always have the first 40 off the top of my head! This isn't specific to Americans, but memory issues is something I see especially often in them. (Spoiler alert: most of the people around me are Americans.)
As you can see, there are a lot of things that a lot of Americans don't know.
